💳 Tuition & Payment Policies for Small Group Lessons
First payment is processed during enrollment.
Annual payment option includes a discount.
Sibling discounts (apply only to group classes):
25% off for the second student
50% off for the third student
75% off for the fourth student
A $30 registration fee is automatically added at enrollment. This includes lesson books and band music.

⚠️ Late Payments & Autopay
Failure to make timely payments may result in removal from the program.
Payments more than 30 days past due may incur late fees and/or be reported to credit bureaus.
By registering online, you are automatically enrolled in Autopay for tuition and instrument rental (if applicable).
Your card will be charged monthly on either the 1st or 15th, based on your enrollment date.
By providing a credit card and completing registration, you consent to charges for current and/or past due balances.
📘 Commitment & Refund Policy for our Full School Year Course
Enrollment includes a minimum commitment of 5 monthly payments.
Full-year payments may be prorated before February 15th.
No refunds will be issued after February 15th.

❌ Missed Lessons & Make‑Up Policy
Our Small Group Lesson Program is based on a guarantee of 28+ lessons offered during the course of the school year. Student's lessons missed are not refundable. (We offer flexibility in providing extra time through the course of the year - contact the teacher when this is needed)
Make‑ups may be offered only when the instructor has availability, and are not guaranteed.
No credits or refunds are issued for student absences, including illness, vacations, or scheduling conflicts.
If the instructor must cancel, a make‑up lesson or credit will be provided.
🎼 Additional Terms for Private Lessons
⏱️ Lesson Duration & Scheduling
Private lessons are scheduled individually between the family and the instructor.
Lesson times remain consistent week‑to‑week unless a change is mutually agreed upon.
Families are responsible for ensuring punctual attendance.

Because instructors reserve a weekly time slot for each student, missed lessons are not refundable.
Make‑ups may be offered only when the instructor has availability, and are not guaranteed.
No credits or refunds are issued for student absences, including illness, vacations, or scheduling conflicts.
If the instructor must cancel, a make‑up lesson or credit will be provided.
🎒 Materials & Instruments
Students must arrive prepared with their instrument, music books, and any assigned materials.
Replacement books or materials may incur an additional fee.
🎥 Recording Policy
👨👩👦 Transition to Semi‑Private Lessons
If a compatible second student becomes available, families may be offered the option to transition to a semi‑private format. (This will provide a tuition savings)
Tuition will be adjusted accordingly only after both families agree to the change.
📱 Media Consent
Photos from concerts or classes may be used on our website, social media, print materials, or school websites.
By registering, you acknowledge responsibility for your own and your child(ren)’s safety while participating in the program.
📞 Communication Process: Parent Portal, Email & Text Messaging
Fundamental Music Instruction uses a multi‑layered communication system to ensure families receive timely, accurate information regarding classes, schedules, performances, and billing.
🖥️ Parent Portal (Primary Communication Hub)
The Parent Portal is the central location for all program information. Families are responsible for checking the portal regularly for:
Class schedules and updates
Teacher contact information
Attendance notes
Program announcements
Performance details
Billing history and invoices
Important updates will always be posted in the Parent Portal, even if additional reminders are sent by email or text.
📧 Email Communication
Email is our primary method for sending:
By enrolling, you agree to receive email communication from Fundamental Music Instruction. Families are responsible for ensuring that emails from @FundamentalMusic.org are not blocked or filtered into spam.
📱 Text Message Notifications
Text messages are used for time‑sensitive or day‑of reminders, including:
Text messages supplement email and portal communication but do not replace them. Standard messaging rates may apply.
Recipients may opt out at any time by replying STOP or request assistance by replying HELP.
Mobile numbers collected for SMS communications are used only for program-related notifications and are not shared or sold for marketing purposes.
🖱️ Agreement & Disputes
Clicking “I have read Policy” constitutes acceptance of these terms.
In the event of a credit card dispute, this agreement will be submitted as proof of consent.
📘 Liability & Participation Acknowledgment
By registering, you acknowledge:
Responsibility for your own and your child(ren)’s safety while participating in the program
That music instruction involves physical activity and movement
That Fundamental Music Instruction LLC is not responsible for injuries resulting from misuse of instruments, equipment, or failure to follow teacher instructions
🎺 Program Structure & Flexibility
Class groupings, teacher assignments, and scheduling may be adjusted to support educational needs, enrollment numbers, or school requirements.
Students may be moved to a different class or ensemble if it better supports their musical development.
Performance opportunities may vary based on school availability, district policies, and venue scheduling.
📦 Materials, Books & Supplies
The registration fee includes lesson books and band music.
Additional or replacement materials may incur extra charges.
Students are expected to bring required materials to each class or lesson.
🎤 Performances & Events
Performance participation is encouraged but not mandatory.
Dates, times, and locations are subject to change based on school or venue availability.
Families are responsible for transportation to and from performances unless otherwise arranged by the school.
🔄 Program Changes
Fundamental Music Instruction reserves the right to:
Adjust tuition rates annually
Modify program offerings
Update policies as needed to comply with school district requirements, state regulations, or operational needs
Any changes will be communicated through the Parent Portal and email.
